- AMCON's Inline Mixing Equipment Optimizes Sludge Dewatering Process
The municipal wastewater treatment plant in the Czech Republic treats waste-activated sludge with the help of the VOLUTE™ dewatering press ES-301. For further process optimization, the customer was advised to apply an inline mixing device as an addition to the existing flocculation tank which is a standard component of the dewatering unit.
Installation details
An inline dynamic mixer DM-50 was integrated into the existing installation with the aim of polymer consumption reduction and discharge dryness increase. We have compared the results to those, gathered before the dynamic mixer application, and they were rather surprising. Thanks to the inline mixing implementation the polymer consumption went down by 27 %.
