Background

The municipal wastewater treatment plant required a reliable and automated solution for the dewatering of the activated sludge with consistent performance. Installation Details

The AMCON VOLUTE™ FS-202 dewatering press was selected to meet the challenges at the wastewater treatment plant due to its ability to efficiently handle activated sludge while providing high performance and low operating costs. The press delivered exceptional results, achieving a dry solids content of 18.2% in the sludge cake and a suspended solids removal rate >90% in the filtrate. These results reflect the machine’s excellent dewatering performance while offering 24/7 automated operation, energy and rinsing water savings. Its quiet operation and low maintenance requirements made it an ideal solution for the plant.
