Background
This municipal wastewater treatment plant uses activated sludge process.
The plant was facing several failures from belt press which had belt damages that caused high water consumption and constant attention of the operators.
The plant had also a problem due to its limited space.
After conducting a pilot test, customer agreed to replace the belt press with VOLUTE™ dewatering press.
The customer is satisfied with the installation of VOLUTE™ , which achieves higher DS content, lower polymer consumption and better filtrate quality.
