The slaughterhouse had been using a centrifuge for many years and the unit was showing regular problems for almost a year giving the indication that it needed to be replaced. This unit was placed under a metal awning, not being very comfortable for the operator. To install a new dewatering unit the site wanted to create a new building.
Installation details
The customer liked the idea of getting a dewatering unit that comes in a container. During the pilot test, it’s been proved that the VOLUTE™ can deliver the same dryness as the centrifuge for the very thin activated sludge. The client was convinced when he saw that the VOLUTE™ delivered a better filtrate quality and has slow motors offering low noise level and no vibration. One month after they started using it, the customer and the operator running it told AMCON they were very pleased with it.
