VOLUTE™ Treats Fatty and Greasy Sludge from Pork Production in Germany

Background

A pig slaughterhouse/pork processing plant was looking for a sludge dewatering solution for more convenient sludge management. The sludge produced by this plant is very fatty, oily, and greasy, and there was a risk of inefficient sludge handling by conventional dewatering technologies. AMCON was asked to conduct a pilot test; therefore, we brought the VOLUTE™ pilot unit and realized a full-scale pilot testing on-site.

Installation Details

Thanks to VOLUTE™ clog-free mechanism and high resistance against FOG sludge, we achieved magnificent results. After the pilot test, the customer had installed an ES-351 model at their site. The unit is running fine, and the customer is very happy with the installation and the benefits it brought to the overall wastewater treatment plant operation.
